Travel Medicine

It is recommended that all jetsetters make an appointment with a GP before setting off to insure all immunisations and vaccinations are up to date. Our doctors can assist you in identifying what protection will be needed for the region you are travelling, and consult you regarding the safety of drinking water, how to prevent diarrhoea ect.

We use up-to-date databases to help you with your vaccinations and individualise your vaccinations for your particular style of travel and destinations. We keep an extensive list of travel vaccinations at the surgery that immunise against:

  • Hepatitis A
  • Polio
  • Typhoid
  • Cholera
  • Meningitis
  • Diphtheria

Please make your appointment at least six weeks before your departure date in order to make sure you have all your vaccinations completed and working before you leave! It takes a little time to do properly, so it’s best if this is done at a dedicated appointment.
