Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals live on average 10 years less than non-Indigionous Australians. The doctors at Victoria Point Surgery believe it is crucial to close this gap, and are passionate about providing holistic health services to meet the needs of our local Indigenous population. All patients who identify as indigenous will be bulk billed. We employ an indigenous nursing sister Sister Mel, to help with the care of indigenous patients. Our doctors believe in the importance of indigenous health checks and ensuring that our indigenous patients are enrolled in the closing the gap program (which gives access to reduced price pharmaceuticals).
